«Beautiful World, Where Are You», Sally Rooney
Sally Rooney, bestselling author of Normal People and Conversations with Friends, creates life-like and heartfelt stories in which most modern people can easily recognise themselves and their relationships. In January 2022, Hania Yanagihara’s highly anticipated novel Towards Paradise will be released in the UK. Hania Yanagihara will once again play with time, space and storylines. She tells three stories that, at first glance, are not connected in any way, but eventually weave into a coherent whole. The first is set in a fictional 19th century America, the second in real life New York in the 1980s and the third in a future in which humanity is plagued by multiple epidemics. The writer talks about the problems of modern society and creates a frightening picture of the world that may await humanity in the near future.
«Anna. Biography», Amy Odell
The biography of the ‘great and terrible’ Anna Wintour is finally coming out. And it will be a much truer story than The Devil Wears Prada, which made the influential Vogue editor known even to those far from the fashion world. The biography was authored by renowned fashion journalist Amy Odell, who interviewed Anna and worked for many years as fashion editor of American Cosmopolitan. Amy worked on the book for about three years, talking to Wintour’s friends and colleagues, conducting research and trying to show the character comprehensively without making Anna look like a monster.
